Has to be a fair age, there's even anderson shelters used as sheds in the gardens. Great stuff   Dave-d, thanks for sharing. You must have some size collection of photo's , ( I lost most of mine along with other things, during moves to Norway and Australia in the 70's - 80's :police: :police:).

Probably more chance of it being the F & C canal if it's in the 50s and the pic certainly looks like that time..wouldnae have seen the "Rawers" using the big canal much back then?

just passed the falkirk wheel  :police:
def the 4 th and clyde   open again yippee  but just for weekend sailors  shallow drafts shallow people who bring everthing from home and put nowt back into the economy well done the lottery once again 4 spending our money so wisely could it not have been a bit deeper so that it could have been used 4 fishing boats moving east 2west vice versaas itused 2 be for trade not 4 yuppies who have enough cash 2 cruise anywere they want   why was it put there in first place not a tourist attractionbut aworking industrial canal of course the people going 2 the opera this weekend will disagree with  my opinion   tough
Well said, we are looking at the prospects of taking Christina 2 through from Grangemouth to Bowling, however there are a few bits that look a bit iffy for a 40Ftr with 13+ beam and 6ft draft while gliding at 3kts. We'll let you know the outcome - Maybe!!
