The Seagull OB 251 lying on the insde and Brian Reid's prawn creeler Serenity at our quarter.Taken at the North Pier Oban around 1976.Going by the smoky haze around our wheelhouse I think the old 114 must have just been started up.
i see where the multi rig ideas come from ...pioneered in oban it seems
Big boat in the middle and a wee boat tied to each quarter, three nets away...the idea was sound but it was a bit awkward to work
i thought he was meanin 2 sets o, boards there?
Looks like a wee board on the port side right enough, but I'm no seeing its neighbour on the off side? Cannae mind of using wee doors though unless that was right at the start, they were five and a half footers we towed all the time.
if ye were ower at the starboard side, and lookin across, ye widny see the wee board ahent the port yin either,,lol.
I was wondering when you would spot that one Wilson
