Now the deck planking is complete, the planking for the gunwales has been added (at last). Frames trimmed to top of gunwales and ready for fitting intermediate dummy frames followed by capping.

Thanks lads. Did a ballast test today at Cellardyke in a brisk easterly. Shoulda completed the combings and hatch covers first. Took in a bit o watter. Outside drying off in the sunshine as I speak. Good fun though as she has a fair lick o speed wi' the 540 motor installed.

With some dead ballast, she rode and punched the waves beautifully, Bob. A braw bow wave and much spray flying as I mentioned earlier. The 540 motor was well up to the job in dealing with the wind. Sadly, I pulled out the camera for some pics but the battery was dead so no pics til the next time. Coulda used the phone camera but dealing with the wind and ergonomically inferior camera controls, I thought better of it.
