Behind Girl Edna is Prevail Bf415, built Macduff 1953, as a herring drifter for George (Scuff) West of Gamrie. Very skilled fisherman. Taken over by his son in law Willie (Tod) Lovie, who installed Cat300hp and new caisson. Willie fished herring pair trawl very successfully. Also trawled for fish and prawns. He was a toff of a guy, and all who knew him liked him.
Girl Edna .. built Banff 1961 for Edwin Wiseman and others. Originally worked driftnets and seine net, but like most of this type switched to trawling for prawns, fish, sprats. Think his son in law, Sandy Nicol, fished her a while. Last heard of her in Ireland.
