I'm led to believe that this is a former Lifeboat - seen here in the Boatyard at Royal Quays Marina, North Shields on 21st November 2008.
Any information would be appreciated.
looks like barnett class lifeboat conversion 52 foot i think.
Hi Steve, this is the ex Torbay(56-75) and Tynemouth(79-80) lifeboat, a 52'0 Barnett,Princess Alexandra of Kent. she used to be at Davy Bank beside Sarah and Sarah JFK before her conversion

Sadly she was, while on passage north, subsequently driven ashore and wrecked at Crail, Scotland, in August 2012 after her steering failed.
She held the record for the greatest number of people rescued in one lifeboat service, while she was at Torbay.
