nice clam poles!!
She was called Seren Y Don Ally. A French built boat, she worked out of Plymouth scalloping in 1978/79.
Aye i thought she was Seren Y Don- I was close by one day when she lifted a telephone cable off Arran once!
Ooops my mistake guy's.
she was margaret-m RY.11 for a period aswell
was she ever called the snow star we've got one like this in ramsgate only the hull she's been stripped right back and does a bit of angling now but that stern, can't be many of them about
She's a different boat to Snowstar Kalren. Snowstar was in Brixham for a long time as BM 267. She was then sold to the Blyth area & became BH 217 before being de-registered & used as an angling boat.
The shallow vee shaped transom is typical of boats built in the Le Guilvenec area of France in the fifties.
There was any number of old French boats with those sterns around the South West in the seventies & eighties.
