Goliath is a ‘self elevating pontoon’, a type MSC SEA – 2000 jack up rig. She can be used for a multiple of uses where a steady platform that can stand in 'deepish' water is required. Someone has mentioned that she i8s being used for the erection of Windfarms but she was off the North East England coast last year carrying out test drilling.
