Buckie harbour 1981
Was it just BCK that were using sidewinders on wooden boats?
No there were sidewinders in Lossie, Fraserburgh, Peterhead, Will.
what was the reason for sidewinders like this one having the other gallows on the port side aft? just so they had the option of fishin off the side or the starn?
Aye some of them worked this way cat man.
nae split net drums them days
Now lying in Stornoway as ex Ulysess BF833, no longer fishing.
Would say Buckie pioneered the sidewinding with that size of boats ally, Capella-Diligent-Stroma- Gem11 and all at lads.
karen bck 185 was a sidewinder as well
Keep the comments coming gents. I'm in my element.
