Hull after filling with P38 and liberally coating inside and out with 50/50 varnish/white spirit. As it is so thin a mixture, it does reach the areas that other spirits cannot reach which waterproofs the timbers.

Aye thanks. I'm convinced myself. Only time I don't use it is when the inside bend of a plank is on view but as they are all above the deck, shrinkage is not really a problem.
