Hit by a 20 000 ton container ship at 18 knots !!!! Patched at Mashfords, Cremyll before being towed to Visser in Holland for repair. Approximately 3-4 months work to put her right
Built by Visser in Den Helder Holland in either 89 or 90. The skipper shared your opinion, she's 9mm steel plate, Admiral Grenville is owned by the same firm built in 2003, she's only 6mm and would now be on the bottom I reckon.
F#*k me thats some dent , they boys were lucky
i was surprised the hull hadnt ruptured, the 9mm. must of been what saved her, glad of happy ending...
The hull did split but she was hit right on top of a bulk head and luckily only ruptured into an RSW tank, which on these boats are rare, very lucky. They had a man in the water for a hour he survived too
where she has been hit makes you wonder how she didnt roll over bet the boys were glad to see the harbour
she must be a good strong boat glad nobody was injured
luck on your side boys away and put the lottery on tonight
