she looks as tall as she is long
was built at inverboyndie ...then launched into whitehills harbour...towed rd to macduff ...put into big shed where the wooden boats were built ...then when all but fitted out was put on a trailer taken round to the first basin and craned in to be finished.....
    built like shoe box
    Money makin shoebox!  8:)
the only boat to go up duff street
,easy pass for the decommisioned front bit of a big purser, wonder what the law is regarding doing that,  it would be a cheap rulebeater!! 8:)

Fraid it is a graphic illustration of rule manipulation ... quite legit, I shud add
Nor is there anything new in it ... been going on for decades
Think of the old 40ft rule for the Moray Firth and the beamy almost forty footers that this spawned. I had one for a while and she was great. But the length-based approach is too crude ... IMO
Anyone remember the old 25-ton rule ... go over and you needed a ticket
One of the tricks to reduce the notional tonnage was to have extra deep floor timbers
Super ringers like the last series of Weatherhead boats demonstrated this really well
    etc, etc
