Girl Jean AH76 Planking commences

Top strakes now fitted. For fixing, I use cyanoacrylate (super glue) with an accelorant which allows very rapid fitting. When I built Alexanders, I drilled, pinned and glued every plank (Belts and braces). Bruces was assembled using the methods I am using now and it performs very well with no structural failure despite rough handling. The ring-netters are very curvacious at the stern and I find that starting planking at the stern is easier. Pictures of yard construction show that this is how the big uns were built due to the springiness in the wood which would be hard to push in to place if started further for'ard.
