    a salvage operation has begun on the multi million pound trawler JACK ABRY 11.
    she was carrying more than 7,000ltrs. of oil, when it went aground on rum in january.
    the skipper was fined 3,000 pound for failing to keep a proper look out, and to safely navigate his vessel...
    donald sheramn mallaig boatyard and desiel services has the job o getting the oil out of her
    She must be i a right old mess now surely.
    i thought someone said on here tht the salvage had been done a couple month back.....................

    i hope that more than 7,000ltrs means another 50,000ltrs wouldn't go tripping with 7 but maybe thats why he stopped ashore

    That French skipper is a bit of an amateur really, me and Douggie know a guy who can get the whole boat out of the water, eh  ?
