    Your good Dave, Kingfisher owned by the MacFarlanes, Margarita and Maireared owned by the McAlpines,
    reckon date is between 1958 and 1960 as new Maryeared arrived 1961.
    Bit of useless information, Kingfisher was one of first boats to carry wire trawl drums, Millers winch, for the trawl/clams and the first in this area to work Dunbar V-doors, John MacFarlane was an inovative and clever fisherman

    Was Margarita not FD registery Dave, as far as I know she sunk down between Fleetwood and IoM
    JT was she not about Birkenhead. I might be wrong.
    margarita tt141 when in tarbert belonged to archie and james mcmillan the clydes as they were called had the mary bain tt35 as neebur.margarita tt26 duncan mcalpine had in photo was sold to birkenhead lost about liverpool bay turner mccrindle in maidens got two boats built as new .
    James do you know where McAlpine's Maireared went to?

    She is still on the go as yacht down south ringnetman, guy who owned her was here last year and met him on the fish quay
    the wee maireared in this photo is still going yet with original air start gardner .talking to man that owns her in tarbert earlier this year spent a lot of time on her think theres a photo of her on here somewhere the man had a good yarn with a mate o mine who was cook on her till she left tarbert when new maryeared arrived 1964 and she is dow south coast as conversion as well willie she was similar to maggie mclean.
    James 50/51 yr's ago we went to the klondyker 1960/61 at Boisdale 60/70 cran the other boats that were there. wee Maireared...Margarita....Queen of the fleet. that was the good times for us.
