    Shemara, PD293 built Sandhaven for Jim Pirie. Later became Alert FR (Ian Smith). Tribute FR (Bertie Green). Not sure after that. She's lying behind where the "NEW" market .. now demolished .. stood!! Looks like painting time .. lifebelts ashore.
    I believe that building behind her was the old lifeboat shed. Anyone confirm or otherwise?

    Herringringerman, I think it was the next Shemara, PD235 built at Jones Buckie, that James Pirie began pairing for herring with Fairweather PD197, built at Sandhaven. The "Five" also included Sparkling Star, Juneve, and Ugie Vale. None of these guys left in pelagic fishing!!!

    She ended her days as Tribute N374 and was washed ashore at the entrance to Kilkeel, all were rescued, March 1984.
    Alert  was FR396.
