    Shalimar PD337, built Sandhaven 60ish for Strachan family. Fished most of her time in PD by Andrew Strachan (later had Challenger). Originally line fishing, but soon settled at seine net. Latterly went to Ireland. Bonny boat. This is an unusual photo of her, as she was built with a whaleback. The only time it was taken off was to go to the pair trawl! That was quite common then. She was dark green when new. Two-tone became fashionable! very similar to Duthies PD357, built around the same time.

    i sailed with andra for a couple of trips in 1994 when he was skipper of the grampian wood . a bit excitable but a nice bloke to work with.

    That's the man. Very young when he took over Shalimar.

    was sold to kilkeel  was their long time . at the trawling.

    sailed as cook on this one out of kilkeel 1970. owned by the skipper ned mckee;his brother orr and the late charlie campbell.
