    you mean this is no. 3 of the franleon line? funniest man ever to skipper a boat in my humble opinion, howard mcCrindle. his father gave my old man the name of a music shop in glasgow owned by some guy who had a caravan down his way, my father took me there to buy my first bass guitar way back in 1975, the old man did the bargaining and got £10 off, then did a bit of name dropping and got another £20 off, ended up costing me only £30 which was still a lot of money in those days, but then he never paid the asking price for anything!!!
    howard's fartmask story remains to this day the funniest comedic routine i'v ever heard.

    Easy QW, Simon Gollum was THE man was he no', a real character,,,,,, Franleon was built as the Astra INS84 for Angus Davidson of Hopeman I think. She was the first Scottish boat to fish the Bergen Bank.Sold to Herbert and Ronald Thomson of Portavogie and re registered B61. They couldy make up their mind what to call her so the registrar in Belfast named her with a mix of his and his wife's name. We bought her to Girvan in 1975 and as she was under part 1 we had to register her at Ayr. AR61 was our number. We must be towin long wire in the picture. See how far Majucket is away from us? THEM WERE THE DAYS WHEN A PAIR MAN COULD LIVE!
