the original K3 in pansy with steady bars to stop it falling ower!

Some ways it'd be nice if it were still fitted, but then again, turning a key and your away has its advantages

it would also be nice if the engine room still looked as clean as well - volunteers welcome

I suppose to the fishermen of the 1930s they would be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I cannae see 2011 Cummins/Cat man thinking hellish much of them somehow ;)
Aye true enough, but they'll probably outlive any of the modern stuff twice over.  That one was in there over 60 years

There was usually one man on the boat who was the Kelvin expert James,he could change cylinder heads blindfolded, start dour engines wi' one hand, and generally knew every wee idiosyncrasy that they had.On our boat it was the Old Man and he passed on many a tip,and no just for Kelvins either. The knowledge that these older men had in their heads was amazing but it was gey hard won right enough as far as the "green monsters" were concerned!
never had the pleasure of anythng ot do wi kelvins ronnie

and nah no reaaly wantin to start now lol

old granps was a world o knowledge on engines not sure dodi can correct if i am wrong

when he was in the war they were on mtb's(??)and were took down ot gardner factory to get told how to keep them runnning at all costs
