is this a site only for "old photos". some modern photos would attract more site visitors rather than these boring old series of photos

these pics of bygone days are something we will never see again, a lot o, us from that time ,think we were lucky to have been there at the time, and those that weren,t are glad to see the braw pictures from then,

Don't you just love the comments on this site.....differences of opinion, but room for all points of view. I tend to think there are plenty of modern boat pics on the gallery, but I have to honest that I love the old photos best. But as some have said, go out and take some new ones as there is space for all. Must say I actually only bother to look at fishingboat/ harbour shots, but can appreciate people like all kinds of vessels, even container ships and bulk carriers. He said a bit tongue in cheek!

That's us old farts got our rose tinted specs on looking at these photos..the mists of nostalgia are descending again!! No complaints from me though.I have to admit I like the old Black and white pics,but there's nowt wrong with modern colour ones either...nothing wrong with any photo whatever the colour/age,as long as the subject matter is interesting.That's what we're on here for after all.Credit where it's due to all the lads who post the pics on here whether old ones or modern,they keep the site going..hats off to them.
These "boring old photos" are a treasure and great to look at.That is our history and shows what fishermen had to put up with before the days of shelters etc so keep them coming lads.You can go down to the pier and see modern ones,these will never be seen again.
i like to see the old boats on here like codender says been there done that . its nice to remember the older ones that you tend to forget about.it gets the old grey matter going as well.
