    I  would  say  aboot  3  to  4  inches  it  has  bin  froze  over  a  while  noo,  but  was  broken  up  by  a  cargo  boat  7 or  8  days  ago  and  was  2-3  inches  then, Last  winter  the  young  fowk  were   playing  on  it,  dinna  think  i'd  manage.
    too  fat  noo.  hinna  seen  any  o'  the  plates  ye  got  for  ice  fer  years ,hae  t'  speer  een  o'  the  guys  or  gal's  at  the  Corpach  sea  lock  if  ye  still  get  them. wid  think  at  stuff  wid  mak  a  helliva  mess  o'  a  plastic  boat.

    it disny need tae be very thick either tae cut a boats planks tae shreds,,half an inch will make an awfy mess,,
