indeedy, comforting that they're still doing well too. long may they last!
Most herring drifters got their stores here,used to get the paper about 50 yards this side of Wrights in a wee shoppy, don't know if its still there. many happy memories of this area great times ,Low Lights, Wooden Dolly.

papershop has gone willie, corvette has gone and an old peoples home built on the land jungle is private housing and most of the fish stores down from wights have become chip shops cafes, or restaurant's and the fishermans mision is an italian restaurant.
Blue ? Lights - Oh yes, many a flashing Blue Light seen down on the Quay, days of the Black Maria
Oh aye wis in one o' them too. but there used to be a place up the toon ca'ad blue something, if i mind richt it hid ultra violet lighting, n' did i forget the golden fleece, and better nae ferget Josie a friend to one and all.
Golden Fleece is still there but now called THE PORTHOLE
Uncle Toms had the blue UV lights?
Jimmy Christopher had the paper shop . dont know if hes still alive now.aint seen him for a few years,
