Fantastic quality photo. The coiler is interesting............anybody know what it is?
there were beccles coilers, also elliot and garrood coilers, looks like mebey a sutherland gearbox.?
Great shot. That's the old lifeboat shed with the swimming baths behind it. In fact, my world, as a lad. The rocks at Bogey Hole .. where we fished, fell in, swam in summer, lit bonfires on the embankment, drove dodgems at the fairground, and tried to knock down a coconut to win candy floss!!!
Oh, nearly forgot about the boat. I recognize "Droggie's Willum" (by the angle of his bonnet) standing aft. Fine man. Think the boat was owned by David Grant and others, but he had the Rushing Waters when I remember him. Looks like "Davie Grantie", as he was known, standing forrit.
