Rachel Douglas - BK231 seen here in the Peters Marina, Newcastle Upon Tyne (North East England) on 14th June 2008.
The Rachel Douglas purchased 3 years ago by Ted Smith, Peter Weightman & Gordon Brown and has been brought back to original condition as was in year of build - 1947.She was refurbished at Fred Crowells Boatyard at South Shields.
Overall length: 11.67 metres
Tonnage: 14.12

The men that own the boats in St Peters basin Tyne should be given the backing to take the two boats round the coast to let fishermen know there is still fellow's out there that care about the past and like wise the boats. this two boats are spot on. Worth a trip to the Tyne to see them. Thank you boys for giving us the chance to have a look at boats the way they should be.

Next year we are thinking of taking Favourite and Rachel Douglas to the Portsoy festival , maybe even Sovereign if things progress. we could take one of the boats to the Crinnan classics along with Shemaron, we could do with more people who are able and willing to help crew these boats anyone who is intrested should contact us.
