This boat spent some time at Crinan late 70's. The couple who owned and lived aboard her took her down to Palma Majorca around 1980. She was sold some time around 1985 and obviously made her way back then to the UK. When I knew her she was varnished and had a 4LW in her. Lovely boat. I cannot remember if she was a conversion or built as a pleasure boat.
Saw her in Hartlepool recently,getting big overhaul for the last few years by a retired Sea Captain, I would imagine she would be getting launched next year. Making a nice job of her, Weatherhead built.
this one and a one called flapper built as yachts at cockenqie in the fifties flapper was for rankins transport tyneside kept at blyth couqetside was built for galleys buses and moored at sunderland 6cylinder bmc when built flapper had a 5lw gardner
