Built at Fairlie for Johnny McMillan of Carradale and spent some time working out of Isle Oronsay on Skye when owned by Iain Noble. Later returned to Carradale when John James Campbell bought her back, not sure where she went from there, but someone will no doubt fill in the blanks.
Isn't of the same hull style of the Fairlie Ringers like the Golden West, Venture, Castle Moil, St Clair etc. So was she smaller of built on another set of plans?

Much larger, but a different set of plans. I think she had a 240 Cat when new. Built for trawling as well as ringing.

Thanks for that, I saw the new picture today of her just after delivery, fine looking and fast boat, still the same wheelhouse

She was called Maighdean Bhan SY193 when fishing out of Isleornsay, skippered by Murdo Alec Macleod from Scalpay, whose brother-inlaw Donald MacSween fished Ribhinn Bhan SY371 ex Scalpay ringnetter Ribhinn Donn SY371, a very fast boat which was handy on landing nights. Would like to know what happened to her.
She is now lying wrecked on the banks of the river Plym, Plymouth. The hull was fairly intact when she appeared there a few years ago but lots missing now, firewood collectors I would think.
This photo is taken in Douglas.
Just saw photos on flickr, not a pretty sight, poor old girl
