Think she was PD reg
Think the shipyard took a few ton of sand out of the e/room after that
Aye she was brand new when this happened (January hurricane 2002 I think)Hadnt even been handed over by Ailsa Shipyard. She was tied to outer quay at Troon and broke away during night I think ended up on Barassie shore.
Same day I saw the crew of one of Taylors log boats replacing heavy moorings continually. They were breaking almost as soon as they had secured them! Dont know where they were keeping all that rope!! They certainly needed it that day!!

Re the stranded boat I beleive she had to be completely re engined!! Nightmare start!
I think this happened between xmas and new year 1998.
