Ian MacArthur in Rothesay told my Old Man about them towing at the queenies up at Ardrishaig with his father..Pioneer was it?..33 Kelvin in her,big dreges on ropes and towing 'til the boat brought up,usually about 15 minutes,20 minutes maximum,working away 'til they hadnae any more space left on the boat to put another bag,then away to land...cannae mind what he said they got for them,but £1 a bag rings a bell..probably big money at the time.
