The RNLI All Weather relief Lifeboat ‘Corinne Whitely’ left the port of Whitby this morning on route for a refit in the boatyard of Carrolls at Ballyhack in Waterford, Southern Ireland.
Three of the RNLI Whitby Lifeboat crew were on board for the journey which is expected to take seven days. The first leg is from Whitby to Aberdeen and day two they will continue up the coast to Inverness. Then two days travel along the Caledonian canal, with day four seeing them on passage to Oban. On day five they will continue down the West Coast of Scotland to Stranraer. Day six sees them crossing of the Irish Sea to Dun Laoghaire. Final day is the journeying down the South East Coast of Southern Ireland to the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Dunmore East in Waterford and then the crew will begin their journey home.

She's on the RNLI Relief Fleet - was she stopping off for bunkers in Whitby do you know?
