Ronnie, my great uncle, duncy mattha, bought a boat called May was BF328 built 1929, and she was first boat I was out at ringing on in the mid 50's, she had a 66 kelvin that was put into Charlotte Ane and she got the 44, all I can remember is she used to ly on a mooring out side duncy's house and was lost at lobsters when Islay owned.

John, all the photos are from James MacNab's collection, I just scanned/uploaded them for him. Has a fine collection.
He will see your post all the same

That's the very one John,I think she was lost on either the Post or the Ballach rocks(or some fancy place like that!) at the north end of Islay in the late 60s when Lachie had her at the creels.Bonny looking wee skiff she was too,I remember coming out of Crinan with him and he left us at the "Doors"...we had a 44 as well, but the shorter boat and he just made it against the tide,we didnae,so it was "hard ower ardgour" and back tae the pier to wait 'til the tide eased a bit.that must have been 1966 coming back fae Troon.
Guess this is Jimmy Krudger McCreath's Boat named after his daughter from Girvan.
think so jeck. any appearance to be seen at the crocodile rock
Wee story aboot Kruger...........  Ma faither wiz gaum oot wi' his dochter May.
Jimmy took him aside wan day and said "If ye think ye're gaun tae F**k yer wey intae the wheelhoose o' the May, ye've got anither think comin'. End one relationship! ;D ;D
