Really big big set

Really big big set

Big set indeed.  Stupidly heavy, the rack alone is 65kg, with all the modules in its pushing 150kg.  Getting it in the shed was fun.  Not sure what I'm going to do with this lad though, but with 1000W output and transmitting as low as 500Khz, I  always fancied a pirate radio station when I was a kid, stick it on Pansy and take up where radio caroline left off maybe?

That yin would sink the poor Pansy Mark
just the weight of the handset might sink her at the moment the state she's in!
Sure the old man had one of these ones on the Hamnavoe the Vikki Bs one was a LCD screen used to punch in the numbers to listen to Radio 1 1053 if I remember right before Talksport or Radio 5 took it over
still can't get over the weight of the thing.  2 of us struggled to lift it with all the modules in place.  Feck knows what the chassis is made of....  65kg for an empty tin box?  Need a bigger power supply before I can test the transmit 52Amps at 24volts  ???
time to wire it up to the lampost mark. once it gets dark you should have plenty power ???
already wired to the telegraph pole as an antenna!
