    far from it dan, its a pannasonic lumix FZ-18, i really only bought it for the zoom on it,18 x optical zoom, handy aboard the boat for the long range shots, goes up to 28.7 x optical zoom if you screw it down to 3m pixels, but very har to keep it steady at that zoom, hoping to buy a top of the range one soon tho.

    I would stick with the one you have Kev, ive got a half decent camera but it has so many different settings and buttons on it i havnt got a clue what any of them do!!! I suppose i should really read the booklet that came with it, no hang on a minute, i threw that in the fire when i first got it because it made no sense to me at all. may aswel of been in spanish!lol

    aye got ye dan, i found a site one night that had manuals for cameras, re-written in understandable language instead of the usual gobildee gook ye get from the manufacturers, ill see if i can find it and let you knoq.

    lol a used to do it masel fan a was going steady but a mean see the guy on the phone at the back of the wheelhouse dina ken what he can be finding to say probally only left his chick 10 minites before hand
