the gut north shields

boats in the gut today, trying out my new slr . had a few problems early in the year but had another crack at it today and it seems okay

    Hi Terry

So the camera has come out of its box  ???

All takes getting used to - like you, I often don't get a level picture and have to straighten it up on the computer - I often think it must be the fact that I have one leg bigger than the other.

    Regards

    Steve E.
i  just blame it on having dodgy eyes steve ???
??? I've got 2 legs bigger than the other one, great pics Terry, apart from the desolation. I remember when you had a job getting upriver, so much moving traffic and moored vessels, bloody great tiers of colliers across the river, 2 or 3 ships at all the yards.
We had to try three times one tide , with the man from Lilley and Gilley to swing the compass up at tyne dock entrance.  ???
that brings back memories dave, i had forgotten we used to go up to the tyne dock to swing the compass. the last time i done that was on the silver echo and the poor guy was sat up there and it was one of those horrible winter mornings when its pissing down with rain.  ??? they used to have those big bouys over by the south sheilds ferry landing as well for stevie clarks ships.
