Rocky 1 again - no white paint on this one which makes her a pleasure to paint as far as I'm concerned. Nothing needs more hard work than getting white paintwork half way right.
cracking paintings of the offshore boats rob. the rocky 1 is one of the dinosaurs now. she has been around quite a few years.
Thanks Terry, she's wearing well. I saw a good photo of Ocean Swift the other day, looking very good for her 53 years.

i think the old ones were better built rob. i cant see any of these chinese built ships lasting 50 years. i just got off the uncle john last week and she is 33 years old now and still looking good.
There's a DNV surveyor I know, I think it was him who told me much the same after seeing Shearwater dredging in Macduff. Her plating's supposed to have lost no thickness worth mentioning over the years, a result of being properly treated to start with. Much the same's said of Seawell, hull in excellent condition. They're from a good time to have been British built.
