Seen here in Royal Quays Marina, North Shields on 27/12/07 - anyone have a clue as to her name - looks like a fishing boat to me?
Hi Mark
Thanks for the confirmation of her name - she is berthed just out of shooting angle at the Royal Quays - only accessible as a stern shot
Regards

take a walk round to the boat yard, either over the lock and through the gate (gate is only locked 8pm - 8am) or the long way round through the housing estate (second right after the roundabout tot he RQ, then first left), as she's up for sale they get used to folks going through, worst comes to the worst ask for Brian, the yard manager, he not mind at all
she still gets used now and again, we nearlt bought her but john wouldn't budge on price, and the conversion, whilst adequate and workmanlike, is a bit rough and needs gutting and starting again we thought
was fishing out of sunderland till about 12 years ago, the hull is tip top, was totally re-fastened and recaulked about 3 years back

Hi Mark
She look good from above
Yes, have been in the yard a few times without any problems - shooting her is a problem as its difficult to find a position for a side on view - that said, I'm sure that having hear her name that I have a shot from the side somewhere - no doubt I will track it down as I work my way through my hard drives.

Built by Walter Reekie [1934?]
There was a Hyperion SH97 built by Reekies in 1934.
The Hyperion that I refer to was 48 ft, and built for C. Cammish of Scarboro, fitted with a National engine.
think she might of been used as a pilot boat over whitehaven for a bit as well
last few years was used as angling charter boat. The owner is dead canny, but ill health has forced him to retire, currently up for sale at £15000, cracking condition and been well looked after. Gardner 6LB in her. I'll post some picks of her inside when I dig em out
