The INS registered seine netter Ajax landing at Oban's South Pier
She was "hingin'doon" by the time I last saw her in Oban before she went to the razor blade factory, but when "Wordie" and Andrew had her she was like a yacht.Always kept in showroom condition and never a rope out of place on her.The Campbeltown 75-87designs were the nearest thing to a wooden boat that was ever built in steel, great looking ships.
you can tell from that angle, she was toon built, she would have been a good age for a campbeltown built boat, was she not one of the first of that design that the yard built?
Think she was the first of the 85s right enough. A cracking ship for her day,and compared to some of the "biscuit tin" designs that so called marine architects are turning out nowadays, she's a classic. There's some of yon designers now that I wouldnae get tae draw up plans for an ootside cludgie, never mind something I was going to sea in lol
aye ronnie just aboot same nick ure shad woz in time u finished with her
