Unexpected visitor in the cod-end last trip, finished up being 1 big pain in the a** come the end of the trip.
looking at the size of it ally it must have been a good age.
Aye Terry it must have been swimming about down there for many years, 6 foot 10 inches it measured

For all we got for it there more than welcome to it
thought there would have been a few hundred quid in a fish that size
Affraid it was a bit old, his belly was grey in colour instead of pure white.Got a few quid fot it but not near as much as you would have expected.

Evidently the largest Halibut caught was 211 kilograms (470 lb) and 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) long. They can live to the age of 50!
Must have taken up a bit of space
