Christina II Latest News

Christina II is progressing slowly as we fix one think another hits us.  After finding the gearbox issues to be nothing more than a filter clean required, which got it working perfectly it did however through up a blown seal in the gearbox pump.  The engine is now unbolted and moved forward to let us get the box out to replace the £6.50 seal, nothing is every easy, even the filter clean required dismantling the engine room floor to gain access.  A 10 min job ended up taking 4 hrs, it is now modified to allow access.  Hope to have the engine back in, in 2 weeks.  The prop is a K3 29 X 19 being pushed through a 2.1:1 box by a 110hp Perkins 6.354 she should go well with this combination, hopefully we'll find out soon.
