LORD OF THE ISLES doodle

Labradoodles, and LOTIdoodles....and every other kind of doodle.  This was produced after a 'bad day at the office', and I had to do something to root myself in reality.  CalMac can be quite 'therrapootic', in the sense that its ships can rouse strong emotions at one end of the spectrum, and calm them beautifully at the other. You didn't know?  Well, try it for yourself.  By the time you have put 'Caledonian MacBrayne' on the side, you will be feeling infinitely better, and ready for anything (and I do mean 'anything').  The LOTI is doodling into Gott Bay, Tiree, in this sketch....Hey doodle, doodle...

Thanks to you both for your kind comments on the sketch - nothing great, in my eyes, but it was very pleasant to produce it at the time.  I have been clearing out my old files!  Glad you enjoy my 'junk'!  You are right, Debra....I prefer to draw CalMac car-ferries than to lose my ability to draw them!  Sometimes I start drawing and painting late at night, and/or when I feel tired, and the tiredness vanishes.  My brain switches into another mode.  Fraztiree - Hello to you, and welcome!  I take it you have a Tiree link too?  I agree with you about the LOTI - I think she has to be my favourite, though she competes a bit with the 'Hebrides'.  I like the 'clunky chunky' appearance of the LOTI, and I love to see her gliding along or buffeting into heavy seas.   See my comments on my photographs elsewhere on this site.  I posted a pic of the LOTI leaving Tiree early in April in that glorious spell of summer weather.   Great wee ship.  My thanks again.  Donald O0 O0 O0

Wonderful, Frazer!    Another Tiree man on board!  O0 O0 O0 I had a wee suspicion that you were one of the MacInneses!  And all the better for that.  Great to have a wee chat with you on this forum!  Say Hello to everyone from me!  And to your Uncle Donnie too.  I miss him so much on the Tiree run  - I was always so happy when he was Master of the 'Clansman'!  Keep an eye on this website - more to come!  All the very best, Donald.
