Great shot and good to see these boats restored in an authentic working form.
sovereign is unrestored and still as she was when she finished working last year
every time i look at sov i wonder why she is so low in the water towards her stern
the tanks are less than half full i dont think the 6lw is heavier than the original kelvin ? and there is no fishing gear aboard seen pictures of other nobles boats and have not seen another like this, im used to shemaron which has two inches of rudder showing which you could maybe expect with no gear

probably just sinking
how soggy are the timbers?
how soggy are the timbers?
the engine room area is pretty soggy
the extra weight of the soggy wood might pull her down a wee bit I suppose
maybe just the way its meant to be? Looking at some of the older pics elsewhere from the 50's 60's she's sitting pretty low at the hint end there too
the LIVELY HOPE , RACHAEL DOUGLAS,S neighbour for a lot of years at st. abbs. is being restored in the fisheries museum at anstruther, fife..
Decision to shoot monochrome adds to the atmosphere really well
