Tip number 1. Always make sure you have a good hold of the model when removing it from the car. Only took 4 hours or so to get her patched up.
I'm a man of many words but I can honestly say that not a word passed my lips. I just walked off for a bit then returned, swept her up and went into the house. I still don't know why I didn't curse. I don't suppose it woulda helped anyway. Stupid thing is, I did it again when I somersaulted Alexanders! Hull was punctured with a chunk of lead but yet again I didn't curse. I must be going ga-ga:-[
Ah well, you just have to take the rough with the smooth...worse things happen at sea! Very instructive to see this, and a very honest view of what we can all do if we aren't careful. I am terrified when I handle a model - taking it home is the worst bit, I think. Donald
Reminds me of when we lauched a new crabber,we forgot we had a more powerfull winch. We lifted a keep box with two ton of crab and a fair few lobsters,it came up the side of the boat dead easy too easy the bottem dropped out. I turned to my mate and he just said five words, LETS GO TO THE PUB. Just about sums it up lol.
Hmmmm. Forgot about the pub.
I'll bet you didn't say 'oops' when you dropped her
