maral.r aground on the beach between seaton sluice and blyth.she went on fire somewhere off berwick. the crew were all taken off and eventually she ran aground here.
cheers steve i knew it was somewhere around mid 80's . i remember they abandoned her and i am sure she drifted for quite a while before eventually grounding.
she was in amble few weeks before this
i think the night she went on fire she had sailed from berwick and was abandoned somewhere north of amble.
she was in amble was very rusty
c&j marine scrapped this vessel on the beach the owner said it would make him or break him,and he is still going strong.

I think this Job came Back to haunt Colin, Allegedly, rather than move the ballast they buried the ballast deep under the sand. There was a good storm and washed the sand away revealing the ballast. By all accounts the council were not too pleased
