Another quick pen sketch of the Tiree 'geola', 'Mayflower', produced (many years ago) for the same book as mentioned in the previous note. I had hoped that this would be the cover image, and I drew it in such a way that the printer/publisher could change the black blocking etc. to the required colour(s). She is seen here entering Gott Bay. Her large regatta lug is very prominent, and looks almost over-sized. The working sail was much smaller. Lovely, lovely boat. Unfortunately, Mrs Johnston passed away before the book could be published.
