Hi Steve, I don't think Svitzers will keep her much longer with all the new tugs they are building. I have a soft spot for her. I think they were the first Z peller tugs in Europe and there were no instructions on how to work them. Making fast to a ship bow to bow when it was doing about 8 or 9 knots on a dark night night certainly concentrated the mind in the early days!

Yes a very interesting view point for your painting - Rowangarth is as you might know is now on the Tyne and operated by Svitzer. Still owned by Irish Tugs but I assume they are now part of the Svitzer 'empire'?
Rumour is that Svitzer are wanting rid of her - sad if they do
