    work the ringnet in the clyde when he first got her , i think his partner boat was out of tarbet .does anyone know the boats name
    Fisher Lad I seem to remember Johnny on about when he bought her from Carradale he was at the ringnet with her where I don't know.
    thanks ringnetman he fished alot about the clyde and islay in all his boats , silver scout ,fisher lad and the caper. he fished hard and all over the west coast and out till torry

    yes    fisher lad   remember john, warnock.   the hat very well, partnered the essie orr at the ringing   were the first   and probley  only ringers that landed   herring  at sannylands harbour in the fifties  45, cran.only landing that night among the ringers       built as capercaillie cn218 in year 1935, became   b220   then   owned by jonnie warnock.   his brother  fished with him name    hugh , robert, warnock, crew were then  willie, donnan,    robert, donnan, william, adair, james, cully, big james as he was called, his first boat was   called   fisher, lad, yes he had silver scout, then sold her to roy shaw,   he then   got   the   argonaut was owned then and built   for       david   smith   crack   hand and seinenetting , she had whale back when arrived at portavogie   but   had it removed to much shelter for crew in those days. his son inlaw   fished the  last fisher, lad   till sold and got the girl, ann from , tarbot.those were the days   he fished at   tory, island.and around , whitehaven, clyde, many others places.
