Thats a fine picture Captain, I might get a copy of that one to to take in to ma Grampa see if it jogs his mind a bit.
no problem scott .
5 years I ago went to Looe to look over Marigold, with the thought of buying. She was in good condition, painted dark green. Named Marigold A, CO423 with a new wheelhouse, but Gardner still in and focsle in original condition but painted white. I don't know what happened to her after that. The photo of her rigged for ring net is a classic.
She moved up to Ballachulish for a while to help out on a mussel farm but was sold again and I think she didn't move that far, possibly being used to store and move fleets of creels around.
Thanks for that info Dunard. Pleased she is still on the go.
were they built at 40ft. to be able to seine-net in clyde too, was there a size rule at the time???
if so its strange how they are still braw lookin boats, and todays rulebeaters,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well..............
