    Thats a fine picture Captain, I might get a copy of that one to to take in to ma Grampa see if it jogs his mind a bit.

    5 years I ago went to Looe to look over Marigold, with the thought of buying.  She was in good condition, painted dark green. Named Marigold A, CO423 with a new wheelhouse, but Gardner still in and focsle in original condition but painted white. I don't know what happened to her after that. The photo of her rigged for ring net is a classic.
    She moved up to Ballachulish for a while to help out on a mussel farm but was sold again and I think she didn't move that far, possibly being used to store and move fleets of creels around.

    were they built at 40ft. to be able to seine-net in clyde too, was there a size rule at the time???
    if so its strange how they are still braw lookin boats,   and todays rulebeaters,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well..............
