SURVEILLANT

SURVEILLANT

SURVEILLANT pictured inbound to the Port of Tyne after a days angling, photographed from Western Quay, North Shields, North East England on 18th February 2010.

Good to see that she has now been sold and repainted - she lay alongside South Shields Ferry Landing for quite a while - see photo @ http://www.trawlerpi...sa=view;id=9272

Would still like to hear what she was built as?

I'm sure she was built for the Port of Tyne Authority, as the harbour masters launch.
There again with the name Surveillant,  ( the watcher )  she could have been ex customs :)
Also been suggested by Dave that she may have belonged to the Port Health Authority? - she does however have the look of a Harbour Masters launch  :)

    Regards

    Steve E.
Kevin D has also said she was the former Port of Tyne Health launch, so looks like the mystery has been solved  :)

    Regards

    Steve E.
