modern gear 70s
Couldnae warrant the price o' the plotter...... Hoorava dear then, sommat like 3 pounds a week !!!
The mark 12 (multipulse)Decca Navigator,as opposed to the Mark 5,and the ?350T? track plotter..powerful tools in their day right enough..and then along came the Shipmate range, and then...Decca's arse went oot the windae lol
I started with a MK5 and a tartan plot paper chart
Can't manage now without at least a large screen fishmaster and pilot

Paul your fellows are still useing them tarten charts and 3B readings fu*k sake hahaha
Really like the purple sector Ho Ho Ho.
Thats just to confuse the twinriggers in the 25 fathom Billy

Ah got ya m8 you stil tow out on a 3b red aye lol lol
0/23 on red. 30/47. on green.50/79. on purple.
no self setup like now ,set on the sector letters in harbour manually.
if it took a pilleery in snow etc,you needed to know what sector you were in..for re setting.

Mk 12 was a great piece of electronics... could tow past wrecks .002 of a lane from them... Marvellous when you think of it now.. Helluva carry on gettin' it set up in snow though.
