Thanks Ringnetman for the ID's .I recall seeing the Maighdean Mhara UL276 in Tarbert about 1958 but would not have spotted her without your input! Some site contributors have a brilliant depth of knowledge, whereas I tend to rely on looking up lists and pics of old fishing boats which I have collected over the years. It will be a shame when, in the hopefully distant future, much of this is lost unless recorded. Let's hope Tarbert gets its talked about heritage centre where a real wealth of recent and past hitory of fishing can be put on show for a wide audience. This would complement those excellent centres in Campbeltown and Carradale.
is that tha same OUR TRACEY JANE  that fished prawn creels round about fort william at one time????
You are spot on, I think she was kicked about abit before she found FT/WM.
mind her in canna harbour one night they where fishing prawns and cooking them aboard in a big boiler, she had a new wheelhouse and casing then, dont know what became of her after that.
Codender you may have seen the Our Tracy Jane in fort william ,as we were prawning out of Mallaig in 1979 or 1980 , I was told she was later sold to someone on the west coast but dont know who got her or whatever happend to the boat , But I did hear a rumore that she sank but weather that is true I dont know, maybe someone on the site might know something ,but up till 1981 she was owned by Keith Williams from Hartlepool
