two unknown ringers on the tyne mid 70s
dont know why shes being towed stern first
lokks like theyre on their way to the dock
passing close by ?
stopped for a chat, and just pulling off ? or strange towing as you say
Your last comment Chris sounds like a Saturday night out in Newcastle!....Back to the boats ...no idea but I bet someone does know.
brian, I'm pretty sure i can positively identify both boats but maybe ill wait to see what anyone else says first
Looks like a couple of "Rawers"...I'll take a wild guess..New Dawn and Achates?...PS...any coakynuts going to-night?
If you look at the water ahead of the left boat she has been coming astern and is now in ahead possibly to come along side the other boat, theres also no sign of a rope. Nice looking boats though, they dont make them like that any more.

would say its a pair of rawrs richt enough, but which two?
maybe they are setting thier revs for pair trawling. although it wouldnt be a good idea in a river right enough.
