Destiny TT42 & Stella Maris 111 CN 250
Destiny built by Dickie, Tarbert 1963
Wasn't this the the last refit before Eoin died in the late 70s?
I seem to recall that Destiny received an especially thorough refit on the Dickie slp ... including a blue TBT anti-fouling bottom. She looked brilliant ... I do remember that
Eoin was always hugely proud of Destiny ... that shone through
Last I saw her was a few years back in Maryport ... painted black and looking in need of some TLC

sorry, I meant Eoghan, not Eoin
that was probably the last year she was varnished Jay. she got painted black in 1981 and the old fla died june '82
I recall seeing a wooden model of the Destiny at the An Tairbeart centre plus a lot of fishing boat artefacts...wonder where they all went when the centre closed down.Anybody out there know?
Stella Maris in the background, just proves you never know what the future holds Blem old boy, good new year to you.
Cheers Bob and the same to yourself! Aye nobody could have known when the photo was taken that the boat in the background would become the next Destiny over a quarter century later. Bizzare to say the least! Be a good one to stick a frame roond if the picture was clearer.
